An elderly lady with reduced mobility and memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She is well-supported by family and occasional carers, but would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking and sharing four or five meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, laundry support, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. She would enjoy going on occasional short walks, or outings in her wheelchair.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious room furnished with a single bed, a fitted wardrobe and a bedside table, and shared use of the bathroom with bath and separate shower, kitchen, living room and garden.

The property is in a lovely residential location in Hillingdon, just 12 minutes’ walk from Hillingdon Underground station in one direction, and 20 minutes’ walk (or 5 minutes bus) to Uxbridge station and town centre in the other. Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines.

The lady is very, very houseproud, so this will only suit someone who is naturally very clean and tidy. In her past she used to enjoy ballroom dancing. She watches TV (game shows, dance shows and nature programmes) and would love someone who might enjoy watching with her sometimes. She would also enjoy playing a simple board game, card game or doing a jigsaw puzzle.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
