Description
Come Join Our Lovely Richmond Home!
We’ve got a cosy double room going in our gorgeous Victorian terrace in Richmond, available from 14 Feb (happy Valentine’s Day!). Minimum stay is a year because we’re looking for someone who wants a proper home, not just a stopover.
The house itself? It’s a 3-bed beauty with a private garden and a little patio that’s perfect for BBQs or sipping a glass of wine while pretending you’re on shoot for a lifestyle magazine.
Inside, you’ll find a shared living room, dining room/study, kitchen (complete with life-saving dishwasher), bathroom with bath and shower, separate loo, and even a garden shed for all your mysterious shed-related needs.
Your room is a first-floor double at the front of the house. It’s not enormous, but it’s bright, neutral and fits a double bed nicely with space for drawers and under-bed storage. If you need more storage, we’ve got options downstairs.
The house is fully furnished, and our outgoing housemate can leave a bed – if that helps.
Location-wise, we’re spoilt rotten. Richmond Park is a 10-minute stroll away (hello weekend cycle rides and summer picnics), and we’ve got shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants galore. North Sheen station is a 3-minute walk (28 mins to Waterloo), Richmond station is 11 minutes away, and the riverside is just 15 minutes on foot. Plus, easy access to the M3, M4 and M25 if you’re a road tripper.
Now, about us:
You’ll be living with Meg and Laura, two friendly professionals in our late 30s/early 40s. We work flexible hours, sometimes from home, sometimes out and about. We’re happy for you to WFH occasionally too, but not full-time – the house isn’t quite set up for three remote workers at once.
Meg is dog-obsessed and often out walking furry friends. She also loves dissecting every move on The Traitors (and will gently judge you if you haven’t seen it). Laura is our resident health guru, always cooking up something delicious or juicing random fruits and veg like a mad scientist. We live pretty independent lives but love a kitchen chat or teaming up to tackle the garden when the neighbours start giving us side-eye.
This is a calm, clean and tidy home – not a party house – and we’d like someone who feels the same. Friends and partners are welcome for the odd dinner, BBQ or sleepover, but day-to-day we keep things peaceful. It’s really important to us that you treat the house as your home, respect the space, and keep things clean and tidy.
Rent is £735 a month, bills about £150/170 (includes everything from council tax to broadband). Deposit is £750, managed under the TDS scheme. Free on-street parking is usually easy to find. Sadly, no pets (we asked the landlord – we tried!), no smokers, no couples. Age-wise, we’re thinking 35–45, professional, laid-back, considerate and sociable. Bonus points if you’re good at gardening, up for a dog walk, or know the best spots for a decent cuppa.
If this sounds like your vibe, drop us a message with a bit about you and we’ll arrange a viewing. We look forward to meeting you!
