Studio Suite in Houseboat with River Views

I'm looking for the right person to rent a private, unfurnished suite on our beautiful houseboat in Richmond upon Thames. This isn't your typical houseshare - it's a chance to have a special space on the river. The accommodation is available for 3-12 months initially, with the possibility to extend for the right person.

You'll have your own double bedroom with river views and a built-in double wardrobe, plus a separate double bedroom that works as an office or living space (some storage cupboards contain a few of our belongings, but the room is otherwise yours).

There's a modern bathroom that would be primarily yours (the owner has an en-suite but may occasionally want to use the bath). The kitchen is shared - it's available for use for cooking between 5:30-8PM but can be discussed to suit both.

One of the best things about the boat is its outdoor space - there's a large garden and two lovely deck areas overlooking the river.

The owner lives with MS, so it's important to find a kind person who values peace, quiet and respects the space. The atmosphere here is creative and calm - with piano playing, writing, meditation, yoga, swimming, and music being part of daily life. If you're interested in gardening, you'd be welcome to get involved with the organic garden project.

The rent includes all bills and a weekly cleaner (it can be arranged if you want them to do your private spaces too - at additional cost). You'll be sharing the boat with two friendly Bengal cats who are very much part of the family.

We're looking for a professional working 9-5 (strictly no students or remote workers). Due to the wooden paneling, there's a strict no-smoking policy and candles aren't allowed. We can't accommodate additional pets.
