Description
My flatmate of two years will be moving out at the beginning of February 2026, so her bedroom will now become available.
If you're looking for a safe, comfortable, bright and peaceful place to call home, then this could be the flat for you. You will be sharing with just one other. I am friendly and but happy to catch up over a glass of wine, a walk or a movie.
The room is a large double with huge built-in wardrobes and storage, and a large window. When we moved in the flat was unfurnished, but my current flatmate is not planning on taking much of her own furniture, so happy to do a good deal if you are in need of a bed/mattress, shelving unit (white Ikea Kallax), sofa etc.
The bedroom can also be unfurnished, if this is your preference.
The flat has a large kitchen with everything you need, and bright living room where the sun pours through in the mornings with a nice view of the communal garden which can be accessed by the back door. The landlord refurbished the bathroom when we moved in so it has a nice new shower. No bath unfortunately but a good amount of shelving space in there.
We have a use of a garage for storage, but it could potentially be used for a car if needed. However the flats have their own car park for which we have a permit. Neither of us has a car so we have only used it for visitors.
It's a short walk to Surbiton Station where you can get the fast train to Waterloo in only 18 minutes. There is a bus stop at the end of the road (5 mins max) for buses to Chessington, New Malden, Kingston and beyond, so it couldn't be better for commuting. Plus, the high street is right around the corner with lots of nice restaurants, pubs and shops. Sainsbury's is our closest supermarket just a short walk away.
Available from 8th February. Female, 35-45 age range preferred, but can be flexible for the right person.
The rent, council tax and water rates come to £950, paid directly to the landlord. The gas, electric and broadband come on top, at around £100 in the winter, less in the summer months.
If you would like to view, please message via Spareroom in the first instance, telling us a little bit about yourself and when you need to move etc. Thanks, Andreea
