Hello! My name is Emer and I am 28 years old from Ireland originally. Currently, I am a third in charge in a forest school nursery working Monday to Friday usually. I attend Kingston University on Friday up until end of June working alongside my studies. I moved to Twickenham in 2020 and have been living in Teddington since 2021 which I absolutely love. A close walk to Bushy Park and the River Thames what more could you ask for. My flatmate has decided to move back home to Ireland and thereby I am looking for a responsible, trustworthy and friendly flatmate. I am both an introvert and extrovert and I would like our flat to be a friendly, welcoming space which we can both relax and be comfortable in. I am always happy to spend time chatting a little, having the odd meal/tea/coffee together or going out for a walk/hike/exercise. If you want a friend, you'll have one in me but equally I'll respect your own space and someone who is a good communicator. When I have the time, I enjoy exercising, listening to music, watching netflix, baking, cooking, swimming, walking in nature, cycling, practicing Spanish. I am also trying not to spend too much on bills/heating, so it would be preferable if you were also considerate of this - for me it's a balance of making our space comfortable of each other, the planet and the bills! Please do let me know a little bit about yourself and and why you think you would be suited to the flat.
Additional information about the accommodation:
Unfortunately, the exterior of the building is not very pleasing to look at it but the interior is more appealing which you will see for yourself if you come for a viewing.
Double bed flat share.
My flatmate owns most of the furniture except the wardrobe but she is willing to sell it for an agreed price if interested.
Joint tenant agreement - I had an agreement with my previous flatmate that she paid £620 and I would pay £580, totalling £1200 per month. We both paid this directly to our landlord and I would preferably like to continue this as there is a difference in room size. The bigger room is the one I am advertising.
We took it in turns to fully clean the apartment once a week (hoover, wash floors, clean bathroom) and maintained cleanliness day to day.
My flatmate owns the TV in the living room but I am happy to buy it or split the price. There are two couches in the living room with table and chairs.
Shared toilet, shower bathroom.
Shared garden space in front of place.
5 minutes from Teddington Broad Street with shops, restaurants, supermarket bus stop in walking distance.
10 minute walk to Teddington train station.
Bills approximately: £171.65
Council tax (Band C) - £100.50pp/month (approximation as my last flatmate was a working professional so this will need to be issues a new bill as it will be split half between us).
Wifi - £15pp/month - we will have to decide whether we want to renew this contract or look for an alternative provider.
water - £25.76pp/month - we will need to issue a new bill.
Gas and electricity - £30.39pp/month - we will need to issue a new bill.
