Hello! I’m looking for someone kind, grounded, and easy-going to move into my lovely two-bedroom flat in Teddington, as my current housemate is moving out on October 3rd. If you’re after a peaceful, well-loved home with character and heart, this might just be the place for you.
Also, my apologies- the images of the room aren’t great, rest assured it’s me rushing to get this done…it’s a great room/flat with loads of light, a balcony and full access to the garden.
About the Flat:
The flat is bright, spacious, and full of charm — perfect for someone who wants a calm, welcoming place to come home to. It has two bedrooms, a large living space, and big windows that let in lots of natural light. We're surrounded by beautiful big trees, and the River Thames is just a short stroll away. It really is a gorgeous part of London, with great pubs, cafés, and a strong sense of community.
About Me:
I’m a 38-year-old Irish woman working full-time as a teacher, so I'm out and about a lot during the week. I’m easy to live with, respectful, and relaxed. I like the home to be calm, clean(ish!), and somewhere we both feel comfortable — not a showroom, but not chaos either. I’m not looking for a best friend (though if that happens, great), but I’m the kind of person who’ll make you soup when you’re sick and offer you a cuppa when you’ve had a long day. I am, however, a terrible cook — so bonus points if you’re not judgmental in that department.
Who I’m Looking For:
Ideally, a woman around my age (though that’s not fixed), someone kind, decent, considerate, and house-trained — who wants to live in a home, not just a room. Whether you work from home, are out all day, or somewhere in between, that’s all fine — just looking for a grown-up who’s happy to share the space in a respectful, light-hearted way.

The flat is managed by an agency, but our landlord is very hands-on in the best possible way — responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in the home. I’ve got a great relationship with him and with our lovely neighbours, so I’m keen to find someone who’ll fit in well with the good vibes here.

Hi there, I need to do an ad for spare room in the UK advertising a room in Teddington London. My housemate is leaving on the 3rd of October and I need somebody to take over her portion of the rent. I believe the rent will be 900 a month plus bills. Below is an email from the agent explaining some of the fees like the £50 referencing fee the flat is a large bright has two bedrooms and I’m very easy to live with. I’m 38 year-old Irish woman. I don’t mind who I live with but ideally it would be a woman of a similar age however I’m not married to that idea. My main thing is I want somebody decent kind I have a great relationship with the neighbours Downstairs and on either side and a really good relationship with the landlord although the home is managed by an agency the landlord is very involved day-to-day and is very responsive. He’s a really unique character and I’m quite protective of him. In addition Teddington is a really fabulous place to live. It’s very quiet. Yes there’s noise from overhead planes but it’s very safe. There’s a lot of big trees the river is nearby. There’s beautiful pubs places to eat. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I’m looking for someone who’s well House trained but isn’t afraid to live in the space and enjoy it whilst being respectful of one another. I am a teacher in a school it’s fairly nearby and I do work long hours. I’m not there really during the week And I like to be out and about ideally it would have somebody who has their feet under them in a similar way that’s not to say to not be in the house but simply that it functions as a home and a base for the both of us in addition there’s no pressure to be my best friend but I will happily make you soup when you’re sick and keep your hydrated. I’m open to all manner of life situations. There is a reference check that takes place in the through the Agency and I’m looking to get somebody in and to sign on as soon as possible. I’m also a terrible cook so somebody who doesn’t judge in that department would be really useful and could you do an ad for me? Could you run up the text of an ad that keeps a warm friendly human tone advertising the place and highlighting The beauty of the flat and the relationship between the people and create a really inviting exciting thing asking them to get in touch and tell them a little bit tell me a little bit about themselves I’m hoping to arrange viewings beginning next week August 11. The landlord will be advertising The home through the agency in the event that I can’t Phyllis so I’m really looking to get somebody ASAP with a move date for the 3rd of October, thanks
