Gorgeous Double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and an en-suite private bathroom (over bath shower) and toilet. Open plan kitchen and dining room and a separate living room together with a lovely courtyard garden. Utility room with washing machine and dryer. Wi-Fi is available. A desk is available is a separate room. A cleaner comes weekly.

The house is located in a safe and well-maintained development close to the Thames with restaurants, shops and the amenities of Teddington and Kingston nearby. Excellent transport links. Hampton Wick station is 10 minutes’ walk with frequent trains to Waterloo (30 minutes) picking up the District line tube en route at Wimbledon or Richmond. Regular buses into Kingston (20 minutes) and Richmond town centres (30 minutes).

What the Opportunity Involves:

This is a wonderful Homeshare opportunity to live comfortably and affordably in a lovely part of Richmond-upon-Thames in return for providing some daily companionship, practical support and a reassuring presence at night to a bright, active lady in her early 90s.

In return for the low-cost accommodation, (£199 per month), we are looking to match our engaged, independent and gregarious Homeowner with a very kind and warm Sharer, who is happy to provide some practical support (for instance, with any IT issues or odd jobs) but this is primarily about companionship and providing a reassuring overnight presence. No personal care is required or permitted in a Homeshare.

Our homeowner is a very friendly lady, intelligent and articulate. She has a very close family, but they all live some distance away and she finds that she is a bit lonely, particularly in the evenings. She has always enjoyed being busy, still drives, goes to a walking group weekly, volunteers locally and is active in her local church. She reads the newspaper every day, follows the news and, as a previous keen theatregoer, particularly enjoys the theatre reviews.

Her preferred Sharer will be female, someone who may be working or studying outside the home during the day, but is at home in the evenings for companionship, to share some time and interesting conversation and to have a chat about their day. This would suit someone who is kind and thoughtful with a good sense of humour and an interest in politics and the theatre. Someone who would enjoy having dinner together in the evenings, watching a Netflix or tv series and sharing a trip to Richmond theatre. A churchgoer would be welcomed. Clear spoken English is a priority as our Homeowner wears hearing aids.

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the Homeowner. Bills up to £100 per month.
