Description

We are delighted to present a double en-suite bedroom in a high-spec shared house on the Chorlton / Whalley Range border. The room is available from 18th August 2014, viewings available as of Monday 18th August.

Chorlton, with its many exciting bars and restaurants (not to mention the legendary Atlantic Fish Bar) and tram stop, is approximately 15 minutes’ walk away, and a direct bus into town (route 85) is less than five minutes down the road.

The house itself is a four bedroom, three storey townhouse and its large, airy rooms are furnished to a high standard. The ground floor consists of an integrated garage (in which items may be stored with the landlord’s prior permission), utility room and one of the bedrooms (occupied). The first floor is home to a large kitchen/diner with french doors opening onto a balcony and a large living room furnished with two large reclining leather sofas and matching reclining chair. Finally, the top floor houses the three remaining bedrooms, bathroom and airing cupboard.

All utilities and council tax are included in your rent. BT Infinity broadband (unlimited) is also provided.

The available room is as follows:

- Top-floor double en-suite room with fitted wardrobes, newly decorated and furnished.

You will be sharing the house with Ben, a freelance legal consultant, currently in the final months of a PhD in law; Beth, a lawyer by trade, currently travelling (from Australia) and working in a lovely bakery; and Zuzana, our resident travel expert.

As Ben works from home and Beth has flexible hours, we would prefer to have someone who works normal hours, out of the house, otherwise the house can get too crowded on a weekday.

Ideally, to keep a good gender balance, we are looking for a male housemate aged between 25 and 35. That said, if you happen to be a girl (as so many people seem to be!) and/or outside this age range and this ad appeals, then don’t let that put you off getting in touch!

The atmosphere in the house is always friendly, welcoming and homely. It is most definitely a “grown up” house and not particularly party friendly. It is a home that we will all share, not a house that a bunch of separate people crash in. Above all, we are very clean and tidy. Having had a few bad experiences in the past with untidy housemates, we must emphasise this time that whomever decides to move in must do their fair share. Ideally, the house should get a good clean every weekend (no rota or anything like that, just each of us taking a fair measure of responsibility) and everyone should always clean up after themselves. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, so that should be quite straightforward! By some house share standards, this may sound a little pedantic, but it is how we do things and it is how we will expect our new housemate to do things too.

If this sounds like your sort of place, then do drop us a line. The telephone number here is for Howard, our landlord's representative. If you would rather send a message here on the site, it will come through to Ben. Either way, we look forward to hearing from you!
