Double room in chilled Altrincham home

Hi!

We’re two professionals in our 30s living in a lovely four-bed Victorian terrace in Altrincham, and we’re looking for one like-minded person to join our easy-going, friendly home.

The house is bright and spacious, with high ceilings, lots of natural light and a west-facing garden that gets the sun, perfect for a glass of wine on warmer days or a quiet evening after work. It’s mostly furnished, and we’re happy for shared items to be used as long as they’re respected and looked after.

The available room is an unfurnished double on the top floor, which gives a nice bit of extra privacy. There’s also a smaller fourth bedroom that we use as a shared office and walk-in wardrobe, plus a separate utility room in the basement for washing and extra storage. The house also has a dishwasher, tumble dryer and a downstairs toilet.

The current housemate is open to selling her furniture if that’s helpful, so there’s some flexibility depending on what you need.

You’ll be living with:

• A 39-year-old marketing professional who’s fairly active and often out and about, into the gym, ice skating, yoga, getting outdoors, and always up for good food, wine or a gig.

• A 33-year-old hairdresser with a creative side, into art, exhibitions, the outdoors and gigs.

We’re both friendly, tidy and easy to live with. We enjoy our own space but also like the occasional catch-up, whether that’s a chat in the kitchen, sharing a glass of wine or making plans now and then.

We’d love the house to feel like a proper home: relaxed, comfortable and somewhere you can switch off, while still having a nice, natural dynamic with the people you live with.

It’s not a party house, more a calm and lived-in space with the occasional get-together.

The location is ideal, just a few minutes’ walk to Altrincham town centre, tram stop and train station, with easy on-street parking.

We’re looking for someone clean, considerate and on a similar wavelength, happy to be part of a home while also valuing their own space.
