Large double room in 3 bed semi-detached house (one room is kept spare)

Quiet cul-de-sac 2 mins walk to New Islington tram stop, Marina and River Medlock

15 mins walk to Piccadilly and Northern Quarter. Lots of shops and bars nearby.

Large garden with pond, mature trees, brick BBQ and two patio areas; jungle-like conservatory, and living room with piano and projector (no TV but the projector works with an HDMI lead). Excellent, vintage sound system. Great place to spend the summer.

Brand new bathroom with walk-in rain shower. Fully equipped kitchen/dining room.

This is the master bedroom, south-facing with a double bed, armchair, wardrobe/chest of drawers, and triple window overlooking the front garden. Desk can be provided if necessary.

I am a lecturer at the University and work in cultural studies; I will be away on research leave from July to December. My housemate works as an air steward on 12hr shifts.

ALL BILLS INCLUDED - council tax, fibre internet (100mb/s), water, gas and electric. Free parking available on the driveway.

You must be prepared to help my existing housemate with basic gardening - mowing the lawn and watering plants in hot or dry weather. Rent is competitive for this reason. Although I will be away, this is my house and furniture, so I'm looking for someone responsible who won't forget to lock up or cause damage. No parties. Please note the dates - the room is only available from July until the end of 2026. My housemate is Portuguese but speaks good English. NB I will be travelling with my dog, so no pets will be present at the house throughout the period. Very well behaved, older dogs may be considered.
