Description
Hello!
My flatmate is moving out to move in with her girlfriend. I am looking for a similar person who is quite liberal, easy-going, clean, and responsible.
I'm a Freelance Copywriter who tends to work from home or any of the cafes in town. I'm quite laid-back, although I do need someone who can commit to cleaning the shared spaces once a week and generally keeping them tidy.
I love writing, the theatre, horror films, reading, collecting nick-nacks, and going to vintage home markets. I'd prefer a flatmate who can be a friend, but I'm happy to settle for someone who can keep the house clean and pay bills on time!
I’ve had quite a lot of problems with flatmates not paying their bills on time, or me having to prompt them to pay, so please only contact me if you can commit to consistently paying your share.
The flat itself is spacious and modern. You will have your own double room with a walk-through wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom. The building (Lampwick Quay) is staffed by 24/7 concierge, and there is a gym, coworking space, and parking. Parking costs an extra £150 (I think) and you have to apply for that separately.
Lampwick Quay is a 15 min walk from Picadilly Gardens, 10 min walk from Picadilly train station, and a 2 min walk from the tram stop. We've also got the marina on our doorstep, which is really beautiful in summer.
Rent - £750ish
Deposit - Whatever one month's rent is
Electricity - £40 each
Water - £30 each
Internet - £20 each
Council tax - £81ish
On top of that, there are the various costs of starting new electric contracts, etc, so the first month could get quite pricey!
It's quite expensive to live here, so please only contact me if you're confident you can pay the bills.
Right now, I’ve furnished the living room, so it’s no problem if you don’t have anything to bring. The rooms are completely unfurnished, so you have free reign over your bedroom.
If you want to see more pictures of Lampwick Quay and the bedrooms, just go on the website. There's even a 3D tour on there, which gives you a pretty good idea of what it's like.
Overall I'm very liberal, and prefer to find a flatmate who's similar. I don't do drugs, but that's at your discretion, as long as I don't come home to coke all over the kitchen counters (lol).
I need a new flatmate by February 1st so I'm keen to get the ball rolling asap. I'd love to meet you for a coffee/drink once or twice before we decide.
Looking forward to speaking!
