Description
My flatmate is moving out, so I’m looking for someone to take his room starting in August. I’ve asked the landlord to extend for another year, but I may want to extend beyond that. Location: Located in the X1 Plaza apartments in New Islington, the flat provides effortless access to all your essentials.
Transport: 5 minute walk from the tram stop with Piccadilly station 10-minute walk away.
Supermarkets: You’re within walking distance of an Aldi, a Sainsbury’s and a big Asda.
Bars and restaurants: Between New Islington Marina, Ancoats and Northern Quarter, there’s plenty to see and do.
Running routes: Lots of nice places to explore and there are some popular running clubs which meet in the area every week.
Flat: In total the flat has 2 double bedrooms. Suitable for home-working, but plenty of space to work in the living room if you’d rather have the separation. There are also 2 bathrooms, so you’d have one all to yourself – complete with shower and cupboard space. Then there's a shared living room and kitchen, which is cosy, modern and has a dishwasher. There’s also a balcony from which you can take in the 'sometimes-sunny' views of Manchester and beyond!
Furnishings: Your room will have a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There are also 4 large storage drawers that pull out from under the bed.
Bills: Electricity averages around £100 per month (so £50 each) on top of rent. Council Tax is £84 each per month (we’re in Band C). We also pay for water about every 6 months, which usually adds on around £90 each.
Extras: The flat includes a parking space. You’ll have free access to the on-site gym, which has a good variety of machines and equipment. Usually quiet too.
About me: I work 7 to 4 (always working on weekends, so I have 2 days off during the week). In the evenings I’ll usually play football, chill out in the living room, cook or spend time with my girlfriend. She lives in a far-off land (Chester) so I typically stay at hers some nights of the week, and sometimes she comes to mine. I’m very quiet and respectful of people's space and would expect the same in return. I care a lot about cleaning and generally very good at tidying after myself. It’s an easy flat to keep clean. If you are interested at all, please drop me a message. Happy to answer any questions and would love to hear more about you/get a viewing sorted for whenever suits you.
