A lovely double room with its own ensuite is becoming available as my current flatmate is moving out after buying her own place (very exciting for her, sad for me!).

The flat is currently on the market, but there’s been little interest so far, and the agent expects it would take at least 6 months to complete a sale once a buyer is found. The tenancy will be a rolling contract from the start under the new Rental Reform Act.

Rent: £600 per month
Bills + council tax: approx. £145 per month (usually less in warmer months – it’s a new build and stays toasty!)

The landlord will require standard referencing once we’ve agreed it’s a good fit.

🏠 The Flat

Fully furnished throughout - all large items in the living room (sofas, table, chairs, TV stand, fridge, dishwasher)

Your room includes: bed, wardrobe, bedside table & chest of drawers

Ensuite bathroom in the room, the ensuite has no door, instead a curtain, but we had zero issues with this (only thing missing is a built-in mirror – easy fix!)

2-bed flat with separate bathrooms for each room

Shared living room with two sofas

Open-plan kitchen with dishwasher

Small Juliette-style balcony (cant sit out there, but great for fresh air on warm days)

Utility/storage room with washing machine (currently home to suitcases, hoover, etc.)

As I’m staying, the flat already has lots of shared essentials like hoover, mop, pans, glasses, mugs, bowls, etc. – ideal if you’re moving light.

The building is a modern new build, very clean, and incredibly warm (the heating only went on last week thanks to January being extra cold ❄️).

I’m Grace, just turned 30, and work in recruitment. My current flatmate is a friend I met while living in Australia, and we’ve always treated this place as a home, not just somewhere to sleep. Think TV evenings, chats, and the occasional drink or meal out.

I moved back from Australia last year (after living in London previously) and want to properly settle into Manchester life now that I’ve started a new job. I’m hoping to live with someone social, friendly, and up for exploring the city — ideally someone I can genuinely call a friend, not just a flatmate.
