Currently looking for a tenant to take over my flatmate's room when she departs on 1 November.
The room available is a large double room, furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe and two bedside tables. The room is a bit of a squeeze for any further furniture but you may be able to fit a small desk in.
You will also have access to a private bathroom (complete with a bath) as I have the en-suite. The shared living space is large with a full kitchen and a breakfast bar (rare for Manchester!), dining space and a living room. The flat is an incredibly comfortable size for two people and we wouldn't really be on top of each other due to the footprint of the flat.
There's a lovely south facing balcony which gets loads of light thanks to no skyscrapers blocking the flat and views over Castlefield Bowl. Think, free gigs in summer! If you have a car, you will also have access to the parking space (underground parking) as I don't use it and it's no additional cost.
I'm a professional working in the design industry so naturally enjoy going out and meeting new people. I'm quite busy throughout the week, either hanging out with friends or going to the gym, so mostly looking for another young professional who works similar hours. Flat is LGBTQ+ friendly (worth noting that I am a gay man) but have no real preference on who I leave with. Not looking to share with a student.
I'm hoping to share with someone around my age, who is independent and has their own thing going, but is also happy to hang out together as previously lived with friends and like to have someone to hang out with. It's not particularly a board games and bed by 9pm flat...
Current rent is £675 but have put a buffer in just in case there's a rent increase (hoping not!). Utilities are around £200 a month but we can look to make this cheaper (Council Tax Band E).
Worth noting that it's electric underfloor heating which is really expensive to run in winter and, to be honest, is not that good. If you are averse to cold in winter, I'd avoid proceeding as the next 6 months will be on the colder side.
