Large double room available for rent from the 1st of March (can be flexible a week or so each side with move in date).
This is a 3 bed flat in a pet friendly building, technically on its own little island bisected by the Bridgewater canal and the River Irwell. Part of the canal walk is fenced off for residents only, and the building comes with its own private garden with picnic benches as well as (paid) private parking and a bicycle garage. The Wharf pub, Bar Ca, and Castle field bowl are only a ten minute walk down the canal, and deansgate a further ten minute walk or spinningfields a fifteen minute walk along the river from the flat. For me, it was the perfect mix of being close to town but in it's own quieter little oasis. The only reason I'm leaving is to move in with my partner!
The building is very friendly with regular events thrown. At Halloween and Easter treats are left out for residents (including pets) and at Christmas and summer food and drink trucks are hired with live music all for free. There are parcel lockers for deliveries which you access by a code texted to you or inputting your phone number. There is an office on site for any maintenance needs or questions. Tesco express and little co-op round the corner, big Sainsbury's and retail park 10 mins walk away. Less than ten minutes walk to Cornbrook met stop.
You'll be living with Mae and Rhiannon, both in their late 20s, full time professional workers. Mae has been here for two years now and Rhiannon moved in at the start of this year. Each person has their own toilet, you will just be sharing the shower room with Mae. We like to go for the occasional drink or to watch quality TV like the traitors together but also respect each others space. Bills come to around £100 each, including council tax.
