Hi! Our housemate is relocating to London for work, so we’re looking for a friendly, tidy female housemate to take the third room in our 3-bed flat in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester.
Location
• 3 min walk to Chorlton Tram Stop (easy to get to City Centre (less than 15 mins), Didsbury and the Airport)
• Close to bus stops taking you all over
• Morrisons is roughly a 2 min walk
• Nearby to parks & independent shops/coffee shops/restaurants
The Flat
• Furnished double room (bed frame and mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers, clothes rail, and bedside table)
• Middle flat so fairly well insulated in the winter. 3 other flats in the house - all really friendly
• Shared kitchen/living & bathroom
• There is a driveway parking space that can be shared and on-street parking up the road
• Lovely communal garden and shed (for bikes/garden furniture)
• Landlady is super lovely, always on hand to help and quick to respond
• Non-smoking & no pets
Current Housemates
• Moved into this place August 2024
• We are preferably looking for a friend, not just a flatmate! We are friendly and chatty girls who love days out, charity shopping, binge watching telly and going for coffee/drinks. All the classic stuff really 😚
• Ellie: is in her second year of a part-time Masters at UoM, also working for Manchester City Council.
• Honor: recently finished her Masters, works remotely as a data entry administrator.
• LGBTQ+ friendly :)
Tenancy & Move-in
• Flexible move-in: around the 8th of December (open to discussion, so if you’re interested let us know!) - half rent depending on when you move in (rent is paid on the 23rd of every month - but current housemate moving out first week of December - so can calculate how to split it!)
• Tenancy finishes end of August (eligible for renewal)
Rent
• £585 pcm + bills (£105.83 avg - including WIFI and Council Tax)
• Deposit: need to double check with Landlady but there will be a deposit!
We are looking for someone who ideally is not fully remote (hybrid is fine - but please be flexible in working in room for some of the time) and also, ideally, no students for council tax reasons (unless you can afford to pay 1/3!) Will be subjected to landlady checks :)
