Spacious double in room in friendly Chorlton house

SIX MONTH SUBLET - EARLY SEPTEMBER TO FEB '26 INCLUSIVE

Hello!

We're looking for a new housemate to sublet my room for 6 months while I am off travelling.

It is a spacious double, with much room for activities. It's got plentiful storage space and as it's south-east facing, it enjoys lots of natural light.

The house itself is also very generously sized and located a few minutes from Longford Park. The kitchen is a lot bigger than the photos suggest and comes with a very handy dishwasher.

Our living room has two sofas and lots of space to store bikes and dry clothes. Out of shot is a wall mounted TV, which is great for cosy movie nights, and our impressive collection of board games. It backs on to our garden which is great for having friends round, and really comes into its own in the summertime.

But by far the biggest selling point of the house is the three excellent housemates that come with it. I can vouch that they are all extremely sound, and had I not been taking a career break I'd have no reason to leave. We've got a really nice thing going, and make a point of going for house pints and the odd hike together, and throwing a party every so often, all of which you'd be very welcome to join in on should you fit the vibe (and us yours).

A bit about each of them:

Mike, 32, Galway - Mike is a mechanical design engineer. He's passionate about sports, board games and could open a library with his book collection. Being from Galway, he's always up for the craic and plays in a local Gaelic football team. He also takes us out on hikes in his lovely Yaris so has kept us all cultured and fit!

Lydia, 30, Lancs - Lydia works in project management, and is the house's mother hen. She is into live music and her book club, and she's an excellent cook. Our resident interiors expert, she has feng shui'd the house quite a bit since these photos were taken.

George, 28, Leicester - George is an ornithologist, a job which has taken him to many interesting far flown locations, and which makes him a great asset on our hikes. He runs 5 times a week, loves the outdoors and is almost as good a cook as Lydia.

The room will be available from 4 September 2025, and we're looking to do viewings early to mid W/C 11 August. The rent figure doesn't include bills (typically around £75-100 per month).

Our landlord John is a rare breed - a very decent landlord who is always quick to fix things.
