Large room with spacious shared kitchen and garden

Large room in a spacious, quiet house close to city centre and airport. In the house: my two cats, my partner and on some days my 12-year-old son. Chorlton tram and an array of takeaways, restaurants, bars, parks and supermarkets only 5 min away. Bus to town from top of the road. Cycle routes to central Manchester. Train stations & the airport 20 min by road. Old Trafford football & cricket walkable. Fast wifi/ethernet. Large kitchen. Living room. Big garden. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher.

Short term rental from 2 to 6 weeks preferred but I have extended the stay period at times. Cat lovers given priority!

The house is for much of the time very quiet when I am at work and with only the cats and an occasional passing car and a big, peaceful garden. Occasionally on a nice day after school, there can be a bit of a flurry of activity in the shared areas with neighbours' children playing / sharing food. My son is here showering and preparing for school on Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 7 and 8 AM and at other times the schedule is flexible.

The house is in a residential area of South Manchester close to a number of independent bars, cafes, restaurants and takeaways including the popular Beech Road area.

Walkable to Morrisons supermarket and Co-Op food store as well as independent shops (butchers, fruit&veg, fishmonger, Halal butchers, Pakistani, Indian) as well as the Barbakan european bakery and delicatessen, and The Unicorn Oragnic Cooperative (loose fruit and vegetables and other organic products).

Several nearby green spaces for walking: Alexandra Park, Longford Park, Chorlton Park, Turn Moss and Chorlton Ees as well as roads out of the city for hiking spots within 30-40 minutes. Nearby Gita Bhavan Temple, mosques, several churches and Buddhist centres.

Bus stop at the top of the road that goes into central Manchester; Chorlton Tram stop 10 mins walk away; easy cycle routes into central Manchester and only 20 mins by road / taxi to Manchester train and coach stations or the airport. Old Trafford for Manchester United stadium and the the Lancashire County Cricket Club gounds - walkable in 30 minutes or a short cycle. Manchester BeeActive instant city rental bikes are available on the street next to mine (with the Beryl smartphone app).
