Peaceful furnished room in a quiet, LGBTQ+ friendly home with easy access to Manchester, Stockport and the Peak District.

The house would suit someone looking for a calm and respectful environment rather than a party house. It’s especially well suited to a postgraduate student, hybrid worker or professional wanting a stable base with good transport links and access to green space.

The room is furnished and includes a desk suitable for studying or working from home. There is fast broadband, a shared lounge, garden and on-street parking.

The house is shared with myself and my adult son, who works daytime hours. I’m only at the house around one week per month, so the lodger would often have the house largely to themselves.

The area itself is quiet and residential rather than trendy, but there are direct transport links into Manchester city centre and Stockport in around 20 minutes.

We’d particularly welcome someone who values a peaceful home environment, mutual respect and independent living.
