Double room in amazing Didsbury location!

Hi everyone,
We’re Danielle and Amy and we have a spare double room available in our lovely house share due to our fab current housemate being relocated to London with work 😢

About the room:
The room is a ground floor, medium sized double room, which contains a bed and mattress. There is a curtain rail already up, for you to use if you wish. There is also a large built-in wardrobe available upstairs in our shared office/walk in wardrobe (we each have 1 in there) so don’t worry about buying one if you don’t want to. I currently have my white chest of drawers in the room for our housemate to use (pictured) that I’d be happy for you to use, but can also remove these if you have your own furniture.

About the house and location:
The house is in an amazing location, close to Fog Lane park and Lapwing Lane. There are great public transport links, with West Didsbury tram stop only 5mins away by foot and Burnage train station just a 10min walk. It’s a stones throw away from Burton Road, where you can enjoy the bars and restaurants, and also Didsbury Village, which is full of more restaurants and shops (not to mention the BEST bakery in Manchester, La Chouquette 😋). The house is very spacious and there is enough space for you to enjoy time on your own or to socialise. The living room is a great size and also has an open plan dining room (couldn’t add the extra picture!). The kitchen is large and gets lots of natural light. There is a large main bathroom upstairs, which contains a bath and shower, as well as a small downstair’s toilet. There is also a decent-sized garden, where we have BBQs, drinks and (sometimes) even do home workouts. There is plenty of room on the street for parking and the neighbours are lovely. Finally, the landlord is great and responds straight away if needed.

Rent, bills and contract fee:
Bills are not included in the rent, but work out as an additional £165 per person (or £190 per month if we would like to carry on with our cleaner, but this is an agreement between all 3 so we would see if our lovely new housemate would want to continue with this without making a decision on their behalf ☺️). This includes all bills, internet, council tax and leaves us some extra buffer per month for household bits and occasionally a cleaner/gardener.
To summarise, the deposit is £408, the total cost for bills and rent is £655 (without cleaner) or £680 (with cleaner) per month per person (due on the 15th of each month) and there will be a one off contract change fee of £180 for your name to go on the tenancy.

About us:
I’m Danielle, I’m 32 and I work in a secondary school in Chorlton. Amy is 31 and works as a social media manger. We’re both sociable, outgoing and enjoy exploring the bars and restaurants of Didsbury, as well as chilling out and watching Netflix in the evening when at home. We also like to keep active, whether that’s going for walks, running or to the gym. We enjoy spending time together as well as time on our own and we’re looking for someone who is also looking for the same as we’d prefer a friend rather than just a housemate.
