A spacious, bright, part-furnished double room on the first floor of a converted Victorian property in the heart of Didsbury Village.
The apartment is a short walk from the village’s restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops, as well as Fletcher Moss Park and the river Mersey. Didsbury Village tram station is a couple of minutes’ walk away, Didsbury train station is 1.2miles away, M56 and M60 are both five minutes in the car.
The room is part-furnished with a bed/mattress, and optional coffee table and chair. Large windows overlook the garden to the rear. Shared bathroom with shower over roll-top bath, shared kitchen with washing machine. You’ll be expected to store the majority of your things in the room (barring kitchen/bathroom stuff). Private parking at rear.
About me: I’m an artist and university tutor. I keep pretty regular hours, I’m an early to bed, early to rise type. I enjoy working in my studio, I exercise and meditate daily. I like to see live music, go to galleries and the cinema. I enjoy walking and have a drink every couple of weeks. I have a young daughter who will begin overnight visits on Thursday/Friday in January 2025. It’s important to me that my flatmate can be considerate of this and has an appropriate lifestyle for an infant to be around (and obviously that you are ok with this too- she’s ace ☺️).
I’m looking for someone whose personality and temperament fit my own, someone is easy-going, clean and tidy and respectful of noise, works full-time (ideally out of the home but I'm open to wfh with the right person) and is happy to live independently as well as enjoying the odd drink or walk together.
If you think you might fit the bill, please get in touch. Before moving in I’ll ask to see proof of funds. We’ll do a trial month at first, then if we’re both happy I’ll ask you to sign a longer-term contract of at least 6 months.
