Small double room in 2-bed terrace Didsbury Vlg.

My housemate is moving out so I am looking for someone to move into her room in our little two-bed end terrace in Didsbury village from the beginning of June. The house is a little rough round the edges but does the job and we have made it homey. There is just a living room and a kitchen on the ground floor and a little yard out back that is a little suntrap in the afternoon in summer (when it’s actually sunny). The two bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs. The location is fab - 4 minute walk from Didsbury Village tram stop. Including bills, the rent is currently about 635.

We would have to sign a six-month or 1-year lease. Please note there is a pretty strong possibility that I will be moving out after this period so you will either need to move as well or find someone to take over my contract. I’m also cat-sitting for 2 weeks in July so you would have to be ok with cats (he’s the sweetest).

About me: I’m 31 and work 5 days a week in the office and am usually relaxing and generally being quite lazy in the evenings. I love music (I go to quite a lot of gigs and usually a festival or two in summer), travel, going out for food/drinks and I live for sunshine. I swim and love going walking/hiking. I am away probably about 1/2 weekends every month so you’d have the house to yourself at these times. I’m considerate and it’s pretty important to me that my living environment is clean and tidy (full disclosure - my own space is generally a mess). But I also won’t kick off if the dishes don’t get done every once in a while. I’m looking for someone who feels the same.

My boyfriend does come round quite often for a few nights at a time both on weekends and during the week (he usually works from the house when he stays in the week) so you would have to be ok with this. I am of course flexible with this and you will always have a say. Vice versa I am absolutely fine with friends/family/partners staying.

It’s a small house and a friendly homey atmosphere is important to me. I really value coming home and having a chat after work and it would also be nice to do the odd thing together. I’m super laid back and do not take life super seriously - someone on the same wavelength would be great.
