There are excellent transport links to the city and Salford University. Its a lovely quiet street, with very nice neighbours.
The room is over 20 square meters (5.5 x 4m), with five large velux windows that have integrated blackout blinds. The room has large wet-room, with a very good mains shower. A solid wood, king-size bed and comfortable mattress is provided, plus two bedside tables, a large five draw chest of drawers, multiple IKEA KALLAX shelves, two clothes rails, and pong chair. You will have all of the top floor of the house to yourself, including a landing area.
You will also have full use of our living dining kitchen space, with dedicated cupboard and fridge space, and there is a small garden which you are welcome to enjoy.
Parking is on street, but space has never been a problem.
Rent is inclusive of all bills (council tax, gas, electric, water, internet) and a fortnightly cleaner (who will do your room/bathroom if you want them to).
This is a family home. We have a ten year old and a five year old boys, and we are looking for someone who gets on well with children. The boys are used to having people in their home, they respect boundaries and will not go to the top floor or touch things that are not theirs.
We also have two beautiful, friendly, easy going Birman cats. They sleep downstairs at night, but they can come up in the day if you wish (our current lodger loves them so they are in her room often).
We (my husband and I) are academics and work at Universities. We enjoy being outdoors, particularly on bikes, travel in general, eating yummy food, and good chat with interesting people. We have a garage you can store a bike in, if you have one.
We are looking for someone who works, though a mature postgraduate or PhD student would be fine too. Female only please. You need to be comfortable around children and cats, though we certainly won't expect you to interact with them any more than you want to. We'd expect you to clean up after yourselves and treat our space with care. In return we would hope to offer you a confortable and welcoming home.
