Description

We are Ali, Robin and Matt, and we’re looking for a friendly, outgoing and relaxed housemate to join our lovely house on Hall Road, near Platt Fields Park in South Manchester.

A little bit about ourselves: Ali works at the Equality and Human Rights Commission; Matt is a researcher in international development at the University of Manchester; and Robin works at a primary school in Chorlton and as an arts centre manager in Sale. We are all quite independent and outgoing, but enjoy doing things as a house like the odd communal meal, movie and games night- and a party now and again.

Ali is into rock climbing, rugby and writing the odd tune on his guitar, and is a trustee for a local charity. Robin works on illustrations from his art studio, and enjoys cycle touring, playing piano and the outdoors. Matt has recently returned from Kenya and is into swimming, travelling and loves a good board games night.

We’ve recently waved goodbye to our veteran housemate Caitlin- who is driving off into the horizon in her newly converted big yellow van! Our flatmate John is also going on to pastures new, moving in with his girlfriend nearby.

Matt has recently rejoined the house taking Caitlin’s old room- having lived here for a couple of years previously- so we are now looking for a new housemate to join us.

We’re looking for someone who is fun, relaxed, tidy and independent, but up for doing things together as a house occasionally and chipping in to making sure the house is a great place to live. Professionals or students welcome- we all work during the day and we’re looking for someone on a similar schedule. Smoking is fine- but outside please!

With Caitlin gone, we’d be keen to bring back the gender balance- but ultimately we’re looking for a great person, so any gender welcome.

A bit about the room too- it’s available from January, and it’s a lovely, quiet room on the ground floor, with a double bed, and plenty of room to make it your own. We’ve got a big modern kitchen, two toilets, two showers and one bath, and a cosy living room at the front. Close to buses and cycle routes in and out of town, and plenty of shops and yummy food.

No agency fees- monthly bills direct to our lovely landlady. Room is newly painted and deep-carpet-cleaned. We sort out the bills ourselves, and they come to roughly £100 a month each- this includes gas, electricity, internet, council tax, water and a cleaner who comes every two weeks.

If you’re interested or have any questions, we’d love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Ali, Robin and Matt
