Garden view double room with a sausage dog

I’m a lecturer at the university and have lived in the Chorlton area for around 15 years. Captain Strudel is my pet sausage dog, a lovely friendly miniature dachshund who is a character you’d need to enjoy being around if staying longer than the summer. I’m open minded and socially conscious with a range of interests. I like to maintain a clean and calm home.

The room is available from June until end of August and possibly beyond, if it’s working well for everyone.

The space
The room is a garden-facing sunny bedroom with built in storage including hanging space, drawers and shelves. There is a comfortable memory foam king-sized bed. The room is usually used for airbnb guests, but I’d like to try having a lodger.

The bedroom is next to the bathroom, which has recently been renovated with pink onyx tiles and bronze shower.

The kitchen and back living space is a stylish setting to cook in with a hob, air fryer, oven and microwave, as well as dishwasher and laundry. Theres also a tv and record player.

The lounge at the front of the house has a big smart TV with Netflix, sky sports and prime and comfy sofa. It’s also a lovely spot for reading under the chandelier.

The bathroom and kitchen/living room/hall have underfloor heating. All other rooms have radiators controlled within the room.

The area
Just 3 minutes’ walk from Old Trafford tram stop & with on-drive parking, you can easily. We are also near Firswood for getting over to Didsbury or the airport. The number 15 bus which goes via the university to town, is at the end of the road.

4 stops from St Peter’s Square (central Manchester) & the airport tram line is 7 minutes walk.

Our local park, Longford, is beautiful and contains botanical gardens, a disc-golf course, a great local cafe (Blanchflower), pet’s corner and more.

Chorlton is 15 minutes walk from the house, with beech road 25 minutes. Both have cafes, bars, independent shops. Barbakan is highly regarded, as is our organic cooperative Unicorn grocery.
Chorlton ees is a great local walk, as is heading along the canal. This is perfectly located for town, city and nature combined!
