Description

Sunny and quiet double bedroom in Levenshulme in a 2 bed terrace. Room has lockable sash window, column radiator and ikea ottoman bed for extra storage. Room also comes with fitted book shelves above a space saving solid wood desk and padded swivel chair, handy if you work from home. There's also a Habitat wooden wardrobe & drawers with an ikea remote controlled light for dark mornings when you need to see your fashion clearly, and an additional set of drawers at the foot of the bed. The teak mirror and rattan side table in the bedroom pics belong to the current lodger, but there's a full length Ikea mirror available, plus a smaller space saving side table for the room. You are welcome to add your own if preferred. The house is sharing with myself, an outgoing and sociable 48 year old food & portrait photographer. I like going out and seeing friends on the weekends and going to the gym some evenings during the week, but I'm not a party animal. The house is more of a chilled sanctuary than a bustling party vibe. The living and dining room are open plan, with a small kitchen just off it, opening up to a lovely tiled patio that’s a sun trap in the afternoons and evenings during the summer. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, gas hob with electric fan oven, plus a Ninja air fryer which is handy for speedy dinners. There's also worktop space for an extra blender/food processor if you have one of your own. There’s a lovely gated community alley with plants out back, so if you're a keen gardener, you're welcome to get involved and grow a few plant babies of your own! The house is less than a minute from the 192 bus stop where the bus takes around 25 mins to get to Piccadilly, and the house is a 10 minute walk to the train station, where you can get to the city centre in around 7 minutes. Also a short walk away are some great bars and restaurants (Nordie, Talleyrand, Isca, Cibus, Station South), plus the Antiques Village, which is great for a mooch on weekends. I like to sew as a hobby, so if you can tolerate my sewing machine occasionally on the dining table, we’ll get along just fine. Rent includes all bills/unlimited broadband and some streamers on the tv. Currently there's Netflix, Mubi & Disney plus, but this changes depending on deals/cost and programmes. Please be aware that this is a space perfect for two people not 3, so if you have a partner, they would only be able to stay over one night a week max just to keep the bathroom and communal spaces reasonably free. Council tax is band A. Female or gay male preferred.
