I’m a single male, looking for a lodger/housemate who likes dogs to rent my spare room.
The room can be provided either unfurnished or part-furnished with a double or single bed depending on your needs and preference. The room is a decent size (4m x 2.4m with alcoves), well decorated and good light. You’ll have 50/50 shared use of all house facilities including a good sized modern bathroom, comfortable living room, and large kitchen-diner with all appliances including washing machine and dishwasher. There is also secure bike storage via rear access if needed and street parking. The room is available for a minimum of three months and possibly on a longer-term basis. All bills including utilities, full-fibre broadband and Council Tax are included. I'm also willing to accept offers on the rent of £550, depending on circumstances.
The property is in a quiet cul-de-sac, moments away from the tranquillity of Highfield Country Park and minutes from lively Stockport Road and its bars, shops and restaurants. There’s easy access to the City Centre through the 192 bus route or trains from Levenshulme Station.
About me: I’m university educated, professional and work in the charity sector. I’m vegetarian, although I don’t mind living with someone who isn’t. I currently work from home so I’d ideally want to share with someone who mostly works or studies away from home during the day. My interests include sports, running, films & music. I would describe myself as easy-going, clean and quiet.
As well as myself you’ll also be sharing with my other lodger – a very friendly, clean and well-behaved dog! Because of him, unfortunately I can’t accept anyone with pets. Ideally, you’ll have some experience of living with dogs, although the main thing is that you like animals and don’t mind sharing a sofa with them occasionally.
I’m looking for someone of a similar age (ideally 30s or 40s), working or in full-time education, male or female. You should keep reasonable hours during the week, please. LGBT and veggie/vegan friendly.
