Description
Bright double room with en-suite available in Salford, located 10 mins walk from the Arndale Centre and Victoria Station and only 5 mins from Salford Central Station. Also close to bus routes which can take you west towards Salford Quays and the Trafford centre.
You would have access to the larger of the two rooms in the flat with its own en-suite bathroom. The room gets tonnes of light throughout the day and has a great view out over the city. Despite being so close to the train tracks it's surprisingly quiet.
The flat itself has a spacious open-plan living/dining area and kitchen with a small balcony which gets plenty of sun in the afternoon.
I own the flat with one of my best friends (and ex-flatmate) so I hope the place has a bit more of a homely vibe than some of the soulless apartment lets you see in the city. I've also recently redecorated the hall and added some artificial grass to the balcony to give just that little bit of green space. I'm quite hands-on with DIY and that sort of thing so if there are any problems with broken appliances and that sort of thing I'll probably be able to get it sorted out pretty quick.
I should mention that while parking is available, there is a fee payable to Premier estates who manage the building. The flat doesn't come with it's own space unfortunately.
About me. I'm James and I've lived in this flat for the past 3 years. I work for the university doing research into dementia and in my spare time I like to write, draw, play video games (PS4 and PC mostly) and I'm currently trying to teach myself piano and French. I bake a lot so expect free cake and brownies. In normal times I'd be eating out most weekends and going for the odd drink.
I'd like to find someone sociable and ideally, someone who I can get to know and form a friendship with. I'd rather not live with someone who is effectively a stranger if you know what I mean. I should also mention that I'm gay so if you're in the LGBTQ+ community or a straight ally then please get in touch. If that's a problem for you then I hope you find somewhere else that fits your needs.
I'm generally pretty laid back, but like to keep the place tidy. I tend to do a big clean once a week so as long as you chip in with that the place'll stay fresh and we'll be grand.
