Hi guys!!! I have been living here at Greengate for 3 years, now my flatmate is going back to his country so here we are!
The flat has 2 bedrooms with 2 toilets where I would be keeping the main bedroom with the ensuite. The room will be around £650 (the agency uses a flexible quoting system so depending on what time you ask for a formal quote price can increase or decrease a bit.)
The building has good perks like the kitchen has loads of storage, we have a proper table in the living room, concierge 24/7, gym (and a proper one, not like most out there with just 2 dumbbells), working area at the ground floor with wifi included and free coffee machine. On top of that the area is just 5 min walking from the Arndale, Victoria Station and The Manchester Arena. It doesn't come with a parking space. I know you can request one but not sure how long it would take to get one.
The flat has all the commodities included with TV/sound system, racks for the washing, iron, iron table, crockery, microwave and cordless hoover so you will not need to buy anything really.
Council tax is band D so £97 each of us a month plus electricity, water and internet it comes to £90 each.
The Agency is quite picky and since I changed my job 2 months ago and I don't have a guarantor, we need to pay both of us the whole year rent in advance, so plus the deposit, your part will be £650x14= £9100 from 13 month contract plus one month for the deposit) I know is a lot of money but for me it works since it takes away all the stress about problems that could appear since the contract is "jointly severe liability" which means that if your flatmate disappears, you are in charge of paying the whole rent by yourself.
A bit about me: I'm an easy-going professional guy who has been working and living in the city for the last 12 years! Time flies!!! I'm Spanish (and yes, I have a thick Spanish accent too lol) I work as a teacher so I rather find someone with a settled life and not a party animal to be honest 😅. Love my own space although I'm always up for a laugh and a good conversation! Love cooking, music, cinema, reading (I'm a news addict🙈), technology, art, numismatic, Eurovision... lol a bit of everything!
I'm looking to share preferably with an easy-going guy but open to girls too. Somebody respectful, tidy and clean but in a relaxing mood please, not OCD! lol
