Hello! My lovely flatmate is moving out of our flatshare in Lampwick Quay this November when our contract ends, I am re-signing for another 12 months and looking for someone to join me!

📍 THE AREA
For those who don’t know the area, Lampwick Quay sits on the New Islington Marina, boarding Ancoats. There are plenty of amenities in the area with lots of cafes, bars, and restaurants.

Aldi is a 5-minute walk away and Sainsbury’s Local is at the bottom of the road. It takes 10/15 minutes to walk into town, via Northern Quarter.

The closest tram stop is New Islington (less than a 5-minute walk) which takes you into Piccadilly and beyond.

🛏️ THE FLAT
The flat is on the 6th floor with two equal-sized bedrooms and en-suites, separated by the kitchen/living space.

The room is unfurnished but has built-in wardrobes so please bear in mind that you would need furniture.

👋 ABOUT ME
I’m Beth (26) and I work in Shopper Marketing for the brand Soreen (a big plus if you love Malt Loaf because I bring home plenty of freebies), I’m hybrid so I usually work 1/2 days a week from home. Happy to share with someone who is also hybrid as there is plenty of space in the room for a desk so we wouldn’t disturb one another. On the days I’m in the office, I’m out anywhere between 7am and 6pm.

I can’t lie, I’m quite a chilled person outside of work, I do enjoy going out on occasion but rather the pub than late nights! I enjoy eating out and I’m always up for trying new places around town. I love a good craft/hobby whether that’s crochet or baking and usually occupy my evenings with crap TV. I’m hoping to find someone quite similar to me, who would be up for takeaway evenings, movie/ craft nights, pub quizzes etc, because it would be much more fun to have the flat as more than somewhere to just eat and sleep.

In terms, of the actual flat itself, I’m not one to complain if you don’t load the dishwasher or clear the sides immediately, we all live tiring lives and are human. A big thing for me would just be respecting the shared space and really making it feel like it’s both our homes.

The flat is managed by Manchester Life who will do referencing checks before you sign the contract. The referencing checks will include a UK employment reference, a UK landlord reference, an affordability check (you will need to earn 2.5x your share of the rent pre-tax), and a credit check.
