Description
Hi! I'm looking for a flatmate to take over the spare second double bedroom in my 12th floor flat opposite Victoria Station. The flat itself is very spacious, with an open-plan living and dining area and floor-to-ceiling windows and a massive balcony. The whole complex is soundproofed and is surprisingly quiet given how close it is to the trains. The balcony is perfect for a cute brekkie and people-watching and the flat is very well-insulated (so we'll save a lot on bills through winter!). The living room only borders one other flat as it's at the very end of the corridor, so no noise from neighbours either.
The bedroom itself contains a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest-of-drawers, and two side tables. The master bathroom is just across the hallway, and the windows let in a lot of light in the mornings but also are fitted with blackout blinds (perfect for mornings after nights out).
The living room is due some cute new decor but currently has a big TV and my PS4 hooked up to it, plus some bookshelves and a three-seater sofa. There's also a glass dining table and a breakfast bar - the whole living/kitchen area feels cosy and welcoming but I'd love for you to help me decorate so we can make it our own space :)
Amenities include:
- Fully-fitted kitchen, with 4-ring hob, oven, microwave, large fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, and toaster - plus I have a rice cooker and hotpots if you fancy using them;
- Combi washer/dryer in the utility cupboard;
- Secure parking space included in the lower ground garage;
- Full-size bathtub in the master bathroom;
- A balcony with table and chairs running across the entire length of the kitchen/living area that looks over onto Manchester and Victoria Station;
- A Co-op shop on the ground floor of the building;
- Secure fob entrance to the lobby.
Distances to local areas:
- 5 minutes walk to Victoria Station (for trains and trams);
- 10 minutes walk to Shudehill (for coaches, buses and trams);
- 10 minutes walk to Northern Quarter (for bevvies);
- 15 minutes walk to Manchester Arndale and the city centre.
Price per month does not include bills as I need to work out the average monthly cost with the previous flatmate! Council Tax band is D and unfortunately this means the room isn't open to students as I can't pay that alone (sorry!).
About me: I'm Jae, I'm 24 and I currently work for a snowsports travel company. Snowboarding is my biggest passion (if you're into skiing/snowboarding and want to go to Chill Factore together, that'd be mint x) but I'm also an amateur tattoo artist and currently learning how to DJ and produce music! The DJ'ing part shouldn't be much of an issue as the soundproofing in the flat is ace - but if you love playing music too in any form then we're grand. I love a big night out but am also very happy to stay in and binge-watch silly shows and natter over some drinks. I'm a queer creative and it'd be really cool to have someone else who's a creative and would like to make stuff together :)
I'm very friendly and easy-going and get along with pretty much everybody, so if you think we'd be a good duo drop me a message and let's have a chat! More than welcome to go for a coffee/drinks to get to know each other before making any commitments to the room :D
The photos given are from the original listing for the flat - I promise there's more decor than this, just that there's currently moving boxes and things littered around to sort out. Happy to arrange viewings around you if you give me an idea of times and days, including after work/evenings!
