I am sadly leaving this lovely ensuite double room after living here for more than a year, as I’m moving out of the city. It will be available to move in on 1 Oct, but I’m happy to be flexible if you’d like to move in earlier (up to 24 September). We’re looking to move quickly with this, with viewings on 15 Sep and 16 Sep evenings (Monday, Tuesday), preferably.
My room is a pretty large, furnished ensuite double (you'll have your own bathroom and shower!) in a clean and tidy 3-bed flat that gets lots of natural light. It's much bigger than what you can see in the photo.
Also includes access to a really well-maintained gym and co-working space in a building opposite, that also has a coffee machine, hot chocolate, hot water and tea bags (photos attached).
The room is on the 7th floor and overlooks the lovely Angel Meadows in front of the flat (yay green space! Many dogs too.).
Rent is £770 pcm, and bills come up to a total £110-£140 per month (on the higher end in winter, lower end in summer, but it has never been above £140). Rent is due on the 1st of every month.
You’ll be sharing with two other women who work in full-time jobs:
Fenella (30, from New Zealand) - works in marketing, loves cooking and sewing.
Prajakta (32, from India) - works in e-commerce, loves going for walks.
We enjoy a little debrief in the kitchen or living room at the end of the day and over weekends, and every now and then, we grab a meal outside together. We take turns to clean the flat (once a week, so each person cleans once every 3 weeks), and we’re clean and tidy people.
The location is (insanely!) good. There is a Co-op a 2-min walk away, as well as the Arndale Shopping Centre around a 10-min walk away. You’ll also have multiple transport options (very handy especially if one is having issues…)
- Tram: Flat is an 8-min walk from Shudehill, or 10 minutes to Victoria or Exchange Square (yay multiple lines!)
- Bus: You’re an 8-min walk from Shudehill Interchange, which has TONS of buses, as well as Flixbus, if you wish to go gallivanting around the country. There’s also the Free Bus 2!
- Train: A 10-min walk to Manchester Victoria station, which gets you all over from Wales, Liverpool, Leeds (and many more!). A 20-25-min walk to Manchester Piccadilly, which has trains to London Euston, Edinburgh and all over.
Lettings agency requires proof of ID, right-to-rent, landlord reference and proof of income. I’ll cover the £50 name-change fee. The contract will be up for renewal in November (which everyone is happy to continue) and runs for 12 months, but you can move out anytime as long as you find a replacement.
I will also be selling a (very handy!) 16-cube shelf and table that I bought off the previous tenant, for a total of £70 (discounted), so bonus points if you’d like to take these too.
We are planning to have viewings primarily on 15 and 16 Sep Monday evening.
