Large double room in calm NQ flat | £950 all in

I’m renting out a large double room in my top-floor flat on Turner Street, right in the Northern Quarter.

Although it’s very central, Turner Street itself is surprisingly quiet, so you don’t get the usual weekend noise. One of the perks of being right in town is that if you fancy a late one, everything’s on your doorstep.

The flat has a relaxed, settled feel and is definitely more calm than party-focused.

There’s a large shared living room with a proper TV and comfy sofas, lots of natural light, air-conditioning throughout, and two bathrooms, which makes mornings easy. It’s warm in winter, calm, and generally a nice space to come home to.

The flat is fully furnished, and the kitchen is well set up with everything you’d need, so it would suit someone happy moving into a ready-made home rather than bringing lots of furniture or kitchen bits. There isn’t really space for extra furniture.

The bedroom itself is big, furnished, and has a desk, which works well if you do a bit of working from home. Fast Wi-Fi is included.

You’d be sharing with me (working a normal 9–5) and Dolly the cat, who is very sweet, very friendly, and mostly just naps in sunny spots.

I’m easy-going and friendly – always up for watching a film, the football, or having a beer after work, but also very happy doing our own thing. The flat has a good balance of being sociable without any pressure. At least a couple nights a week I’ll be out and about at a gig or event, and I’m a big film nerd too.

Looking for a clean, considerate professional who wants a settled, relaxed place to live. The flat is set up for one person per room, so unfortunately it wouldn’t be suitable for couples. Probably not the right fit if you’re after a party flat, but ideal if you want somewhere central, calm and genuinely comfortable.
