Hi! My current flatmate (you'll find her in the last photo) is sadly moving out on the 18th of September after a great year of living together. I am looking for a lovely new flatmate to take over her room. Ideally, I am looking for someone who can commit to a full year so we can really settle in without the stress of finding someone new a few months down the line.
The Location and Building
The apartment is honestly as central as it gets. We are just a few minutes away from Deansgate, Spinningfields, and Market Street, but the complex itself is tucked away in a really nice and quiet residential area.
The building has amazing perks. There are two communal kitchens, a lounge, a gallery room, nice gardens, a free two floor gym, and a 24/7 concierge with a secure self service parcel collection system.
The Apartment
We are on the third floor. It is a fully furnished two bedroom and two bathroom apartment, and both rooms have their own ensuites. The bedrooms are spacious double rooms with plenty of storage.
The layout is perfect for privacy because the living space and kitchen are right in the middle of our rooms. This means we do not share a bedroom wall and there is no chance of hearing each other when we are in our own spaces.
There is a great balcony that wraps around the entire apartment. I have already provided some extras for the shared space like a TV, balcony seating, a microwave, and other kitchen appliances. The kitchen also has a dishwasher.
Because the flat has huge windows and is fully carpeted, it gets light in the summer and stays incredibly warm in the winter. We barely even had to turn the central heating on last year.
The Bills
Rent: £745 a month (this includes WiFi and gym access).
Council Tax: £109 each a month.
Water and Energy: Around £40 each in the summer, going up to about £70 each in the winter.
About Me
I am Sam, I am 25, and I currently work in a bank while job hunting for my next step. I can be a little introverted at first, but I definitely open up once I get to know you. I am super friendly, clean, and I absolutely love fashion, music, going to gigs, and singing. I should also warn you that I am the worst cook, so you will not have to worry about me hogging the kitchen.
What I Am Looking For
I am looking for a working professional who is nice, friendly, and has a good sense of shared space. I am totally open to living with guys or girls, ideally someone around a similar age to me (23 to 26). Because the flat is carpeted, keeping things clean and tidy is really important to me, and I am looking for a non smoker.
I would love to find a flatmate I can actually become friends with, but I also highly value personal space and downtime. Because both bedrooms open directly into the main living room, I really view the flat as a peaceful, private sanctuary to unwind. I am okay with the occasional friend popping round, but I am not looking for someone who wants to host guests on a regular basis, and I prefer to keep the flat as a party free zone. I just want us both to feel completely relaxed in our own home without feeling like we always have to be "on" for visitors.
