I own a bright, modern two-bedroom flat in New Islington and I’m looking for a friendly, considerate professional to take the ensuite double room and share with one other working professional. I don’t live in the flat myself, but I’m a hands-on landlord and want whoever moves in to feel at home, not as if they’re just renting a bed.

You’d be sharing with one professional in their mid-30s who works full time and keeps the place quiet and tidy.

📍 Location

A couple of minutes’ walk from New Islington tram stop, New Islington marina and by the New Islington Canal.

Around 10 minutes’ walk to Manchester Piccadilly

About 15 minutes’ walk to the Arndale / city centre

🛏 The Room & The Flat

Comfortable, fully furnished double bedroom with private ensuite bathroom

Contemporary, well-kept apartment in a secure development

Shared use of a modern kitchen and relaxed living area with the other resident

Canal views and a balcony, with a calm, tidy feel throughout

It’s a peaceful, well-maintained flat that suits someone who wants a proper home to come back to at the end of the day.

👤 Who I’m Looking For

Single occupancy only

Working professional

Naturally tidy, respectful and easy-going

Happy to do their fair share to keep the home clean and comfortable, and to get along with the other resident

If you value your own space, are past the party-house stage, and prefer a quiet, relaxed flat, you’ll likely fit in well here.

🧽 Cleanliness & House Style

The flat is kept to a high standard, and I’d like to maintain that. The ideal person:

Clears up after themselves in the kitchen and bathroom

Keeps their room and shared areas reasonably tidy

Leaves the kitchen and living room as they found them

Nothing extreme – just basic respect for the home and the person you’re sharing with. If you’re naturally tidy, this will feel very normal.

💷 Rent & Practical Details

Rent: £1000 per month

Deposit: £1,250 (protected and fully refundable at the end of the tenancy, subject to the usual checks and no damage)

Ideally I’m looking for someone who’d like to stay for the medium to longer term. I understand circumstances can change, so if either of us needs to end the arrangement, I ask for one month’s notice, and I will give the same in return.
