Friendly houseshare near Birchfields park

We are Chloe, Matt and Elliot. We’re looking for a friendly, outgoing and relaxed professional housemate to join our lovely house on Hall Road, near Birchfields Park in South Manchester.

A little bit about ourselves, all in our early thirties: Chloe works for Manchester Women’s Aid and Matt is a researcher in international development at the University of Manchester and Elliot works for a marketing firm near the airport. We are all quite independent and outgoing, but also enjoy doing things as a house such as cooking the odd communal meal, going to the pub and on hikes, having movie nights, and holding a party now and again!

We’re looking for someone who is fun, relaxed, tidy and independent, but up for doing things together and chipping in to making sure the house is a great place to live.

It’s a good size double bedroom which has been newly redecorated, has a brand new mattress and storage bed and carpet, plus wardrobe and draws.
Upstairs there is a brand new bathroom with rain shower over the bath tub. New carpets on the stairs and landing.
Downstairs there is a big bright modern kitchen with new units, worktops, double oven, dishwasher, induction hob and two large fridge freezers so lots of space for food shopping. The dining table seats six people.
There is a Bosch washing machine and tumble drier on the way through to the downstairs bathroom which has a lovely shower.
A cosy living room is at the front of the house with a new sofa bed and TV.

The landlord has just replaced all the downstairs flooring and has decorated everywhere.
At the back there is a lovely yard that we’ve converted into a nice outside space for bbq's (in the summer it's a bit of a sun trap!).
The house is in a great location, close to buses and cycle routes in and out of town, as well as two huge parks, plenty of shops and yummy food along the Curry Mile. There is also Birch Community centre down the road, which does loads of community activities such as yoga classes and a monthly pub that we like to go to together

No agency fees - monthly rent goes direct to our landlady who hits just the right balance between being proactive with house issues but remaining generally hands off the rest of the time. We sort out the bills ourselves, and they come to roughly £138 a month each - this includes gas, electricity, internet, council tax, water, cleaning materials and a cleaner who comes every two weeks.

Unfortunately we can’t accept couples due to keeping it within HMO limitations.
