TL; DR
Due to some unexpected but heartwarming news from my lodger 🤰🍼 I’m back online looking for a friendly professional (preferably female) to replace my current lodger in my cosy townhouse in Salford (M7) around end of November, onwards.
In short, I’m looking for someone who is clean and tidy (big emphasis on those) as well as having the potential to maybe share the occasional walk down to the pub or odd evening activity (but no expectations). Keeping the warm stress-free dynamic is the goal.
Rent listed is all of your bills included, water, gas, electricity, council tax and super-fast mesh WiFi (350+mbps).
— About the house & rooms—
The house is a warm, semi-detached with nearby parking.
It’s a brisk 20-25 minute walk to Spinningfields/central Manchester and a 7 minute walk to Lidl and neighbouring bus stops.
The recently refurnished room comes fit with a double bed, bedside table, a double wardrobe and shelving. All bedroom doors are lockable for peace of mind.
Though not technically an en-suit room, it is next door to a beautifully redecorated bathroom with a bath/shower. All the other rooms in the house are en-suit, with an extra downstairs toilet, so no need to worry about sharing.
I’m super house-proud, keeping a clean and tidy environment is top priority, so looking for likeminded people. I can confidently say how you see the house is pretty much how it always is, especially any communally used areas.
We have a dishwasher, so keeping the kitchen clean is easy enough - and if you like a brew you’ll never need to wait for a kettle to boil again thanks to an instant hot and filtered water tap.
I don’t mind if you smoke - but smoking indoors is not allowed. We do have a sizeable garden with plenty of outdoor seating, which is usually where you’ll find me gardening on a warm day.
— Housemate logistics—
Currently residing here apart from myself is my partner Matt, Poncho the pooch, and my other lovely Lodger Sotonye.
Sotonye is a Psychologist and over here short-term from the US. Matt works in Finance, and I work in Law (boring I know), and I do the odd freelance photography job around it. Someone with a 9-5 type job would slot right in.
We all tend to busy ourselves, but we do enjoy each other’s company!
Matt and I aren’t a very PDA couple, and tend to do our own thing. You’d always be welcome to join us for some munch at the dinner table or settle down with us in front of the tv in the evenings.
Poncho who’s basically my shadow, doesn’t shed hair, is hypo-allergenic (sadly I’m allergic to a lot of animals) and usually everyone’s favourite housemate 😉 but rest assured he’d never be made your responsibility.

You must be able to provide proof of income or have a U. K. based guarantor. Landlord reference is preferable but not essential.
