Description
A room is available in a new build flat by Salford Quays (the contract [6 months] is from 11th February 2025 for six months, though it is likely able to be extended). There might be some flexibility with the exact move in date however - please feel free to ask.
It will be sharing with me - I am a 37-year old working in the charity sector with a lot of different interests so hopefully we have something in common. The flat is very close (10 minutes walking distance and within eyesight) to Old Trafford so it's perfect for any Manchester United fans.
I have an ensuite bathroom so whilst the other bathroom is accessed through the shared kitchen/living room, it will be yours to use alone.
Internet is included in the bills. Other bills (council tax, electricity [no gas], water, TV license) are separate. Water is around £20 per month each, council tax currently £80 per month each (a new bill may be higher), TV license around £8 and electricity at £65 per month each (could go up). Electricity use is higher in the depth of winter, and less in the summer, but currently paying at a flat rate year round.
The deposit is £582.50 for each of us (as mentioned above, the contract renews on 11th August). Monthly rent is £725.
Access to a "residents lounge" (a co-working space) and a gym in separate buildings in the same apartment complex are included in the cost of rent as well, and there is a small Co-op supermarket within the complex as well open from 7am to 11pm every day that is hugely convenient (other nearby options for groceries include Tesco, Aldi and Lidl so there is lots of choice).
Its also right next to the Quays, and the Lowry Outlet mall and White City for shopping are walking distance away, as is Kargo MKT Central Bay food court for eating out.
10 minutes on the metrolink into the city centre is convenient for going into town. Multiple tram stops are in walking distance - the very closest is Exchange Quay which is two or three minutes walk away.
