Description
I have a spare room available at Vox apartments which is located in Cornbrook. It's a two bedroom flat, both with their own bathroom. The room available is the smaller of the two rooms but you'll have the bigger bathroom which also comes with a bath. I have pretty much everything here already, TV, kitchen appliances, etc., but of course you're welcome to bring your own things.
I have been here already for 3 years, having moved here together with my flatmate who I also met through here, who is now sadly moving on. Since we have been here 3 years I have to assume that I'm not terrible to live with, but perhaps you can ask her!!
The building itself is lovely. It has:
- Two free coffee machines you can use whenever, with coffee/tea/hot chocolate, etc.
- A residents' lounge on the roof, which has a co-working/chillout space, a gym, a roof terrace with a great view, a small running track and a small garden which is lovely to sit in in the summer.
- Weekly events for residents, such as yoga, gym classes, craft events, market stalls and more.
- A studio area with spin bikes, yoga mats and a big TV with fitness classes on.
As for me, I work in the city centre but mostly work from home, either in the flat or in the co-working space. My current flatmate works from home too and the internet is more than good enough. You can see my interests on my profile but generally my week would involve a couple of gym classes, the odd run or yoga session. I do enjoy socialising at home in front of the TV but also like to keep to myself from time to time so you'll probably get the best of both worlds! Ideally would have someone move in who would be interested in being friends and doing the odd thing together, having a catch-up after work etc.
Bills are not included. In total I would say that they come to roughly around 200pm but I will double-check and update this asap.
My flatmate is moving out early May so I think the room is available from either the 1st or 8th May. Again, I will check.
There is parking available under the building but it does cost extra and there is a waiting list. I have a car myself and I actually know a few places you can park for free around here, and I've never had any issues. So of course if you have a car I'd be happy to show you.\
Oh, the building is pet friendly. In fact there are lots of cats and dogs and others here! They have a small pet treat area in reception and even occasional doggy events, and lots walk their dogs on the roof terrace. We did have a cat here when I moved in so I would actually love if someone brought their own cat or dog :)
Long-winded description here but I think I've got everything. Please feel free to message with any questions! I will get actual photos of the apartment asap but I would suggest having a quick Google in the meantime.
