Good sized and fully furnished double room for single occupancy in a clean, comfortable detached home. The bedroom overlooks the garden and is quiet and private.
I am a professional, sociable, straight forward person also living at the house and am looking for a Mon to Fri like-minded, clean and tidy professional lodger who will enjoy sharing and live respectfully in my home.
The house has new kitchen, bathroom, flooring, smoke alarms, security lights and alarm. It has been redecorated throughout.
Located in a quiet area yet is within easy 10 min walking distance to Romiley Village centre, which has shops, cafes, bars, swimming pool and gym and a small local theatre plus train station.
I live a 2 min walk to the local pub, and Romiley has very good transport links to Manchester, Stockport, Sheffield and the Peak District.
Romiley Train station is a 12 min walk and has direct links to Manchester Piccadilly, Sheffield and the Peak District. Woodley and Bredbury stations are approx 5 mins drive and the M60 ring road can be easily driven to in approx 15 mins. Local bus routes from Romiley village go direct to Stockport and the surrounding villages including Hyde and Marple. Manchester Airport is approx 25 mins drive. There are lots of walks and bike rides locally. This is a great location for easy access to both city and countryside.
I have room in the garage for bike storage and there is on and off road parking.
You would have use of all mod cons including super-fast WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, gas central heating, range cooker, microwave and Virgin TV. The bathroom, open-plan kitchen living space, conservatory, gardens and utility room would be shared areas and utensils, crockery and bedding are available. I would appreciate help keeping the shared areas clean and tidy and would expect the rented bedroom to be kept tidy and clean within reason.
I am looking for a Mon to Fri lodger who does not work from home.
I'd like to have a trial of a few weeks first to see if we both like the lodging arrangements. Short or long term available.
I would like to use Vorensys as recommended by 'spare room. Com' to conduct a tenant reference and would request your permission to do so.
