Whether you’re here to explore local history, perform at Stockport Plaza, or relax after an open-mic at The Blossoms or The Edgerton in Salford, this cozy hideaway offers both inspiration and rest.

Nestled within Welkin Mill, this enchanting studio — a hidden witches’ and wizards’ hut just outside Stockport city centre — beckons musicians, travellers, and creatives alike.

A true haven for rest and creation, it provides a warm space to relax, record, dine, or sleep. The decor draws on Dracula and Alice in Wonderland, filled with curiosities and creative energy.

Amenities include a PlayStation 4, Yamaha HS8 speakers, a 42-inch TV, fridge and freezer, air fryer, and all the cozy comforts of home — from a luxurious sleep rug and blankets to all the little touches that make your stay easy.

Just a £2 ride from Manchester city centre, the space is a 15-minute walk to the train station and only a few minutes from the bus stop. The rooftop offers a peaceful spot to gaze at stars and bats above the mill.

Guests can also receive post during the post room’s working hours, and there’s ample parking for touring bands and travellers.

While there’s no shower access, two nearby Life Leisure centres — including Grand Central, which boasts a spa, steam rooms, and jacuzzi — offer everything you might need to refresh and unwind.

The Wizards Perineum is open to all. Stays are donation-based for those in need, with a suggested £10 for individuals or small bands, per night.
