Double Room Close to Stockport Transport Links

About the available room: The bedroom advertised is a decent sized double and is furnished with a bed, mattress, wardrobe, 2 chest of drawers, a desk and a chair. Any or all of these items can be stored, should you desire to bring any of your own furnishings.

I have shown an example of what the room can look like with some extra furnishings and a bit of a personal touch. It's a deceptively big room, with that being a 55 inch tv in the example photo! The window is a nice size and the room gets great light in the mornings.

About the house: There's a shared living room, which is home to my two pet rats, Ronald and Dirtgrub. The dining room and kitchen are fully furnished and equipped (including but not limited to an air fryer, coffee/spice grinder and a rice cooker). The washing machine has a tumbledryer function, and there is also have a heated airer. You will also have access to your own fridge and freezer, so won't have to worry about not having enough space.

It's a terraced house in Edgeley in a brilliant location. It's only a 5 minute walk to Stockport train station, 10 minutes to the bus station and Stockport town centre and less than 5 minutes drive to the M60. Trains to Manchester run about once every 10 minutes and can take only 10 minutes to get to Piccadilly.

The house has small front and back gardens, with the rear garden backing onto a larger gated area. There's no drive, but I've never struggled to park on the street.

The neighbours are all great and despite being a terraced, noise has never been an issue for me.

There's also plenty of local amenities around Edgeley, including supermarkets, gyms, pubs, takeaways etc. Stockport itself has loads to offer when it comes to food and drink, as well as having more of the above.

All bills are included in the rent. I'm also open to going halves on a cleaning service if that is something that is something you'd desire.

About me: My name is Thom and I'm 37. I'm a bit of a nerd; I love reading and writing fantasy, listening to alternative music, watching horror films and playing both video and board games.

I'm easy going and sociable and also quick to laugh. I'm a decent cook and enjoy cooking a variety of things and trying new foods and recipes, so the kitchen is always stocked with a broad variety of herbs and spices.

I also like to try an counteract all the cooking by going to the gym and occasionally hiking.

Although I am not LGBTQ+ myself, I welcome those who are to apply and have had LGBTQ+ housemates in the past.

I currently work from home most days of the week, but will largely keep to my own room when doing so.
