I’m looking for a roommate to join me in my 2‑bed flat in Victoria Park from September 2025 (some flexibility for an earlier start if needed).

Just off Upper Brook Street – 10 mins to Lidl/Tesco, 20 mins to campus, and close to Oxford Road buses into town

Ground floor with ramp access; shared front and back gardens

Rent: £900pcm for the whole flat (£450 each)

Bills: Electricity ~£55pcm, Gas/Water ~£50–60pcm each (billed quarterly), Broadband £15 each

Council Tax Band B

Spacious living room & kitchen with large dining table (great for board games), good cupboard space, dishwasher, and washer‑dryer

Tenancy details

Initial commitment: 6 months

After 6 months: I plan to move in with my partner; I would help find a replacement for myself so you could potentially stay on longer

About me
I’m a Criminology and Sociology lecturer at MMU Outside work, I’m into 3D printing, the gym, creative writing, and Warhammer 40k. I live with a rescue guinea pig (Geralt) — shy at first, but very treat‑motivated. I’m friendly, tidy, and out most days, so this is a good space for someone who mostly works from home.

About you
I’m hoping to find someone who’ll enjoy living in a relaxed, friendly home and who takes pride in keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable. If you’re the kind of person who wipes the counter after making a brew, appreciates a quiet cuppa after work, and is happy to share the occasional chat or board game, we’ll probably get on great. This place might suit someone a little older or with a bit of house‑share experience, who values having a peaceful, well‑kept space to come home to.
