My housemate is moving in with his girlfriend so an ensuite room is going spare in a 2 bed flatshare in West Didsbury, just off Burton Road!
We are looking for someone to take over his room for the rest of the tenancy (up until Dec 31st 2024) - however, I’m prioritising potential flatmates who can commit to signing a longer tenancy commencing Jan 1st 2025. Short term flatmates not really considered, sorry!
Move in date TBC after the bank holiday but should be between Sept 14-Sept 21.
The rent share for this room is currently 500 pcm but this will increase to 550 pcm from Jan 1st 2025. Council tax band A. Bills not included but currently come to around 135 per person per month. There are parking spaces for tenants located behind the house so no worries if you have a car.
The room is an ensuite and a good size, large enough to fit a desk. It’s a basement room (rest of the flat is ground floor) but the window is a decent size and has 3 radiators so warms up quickly! My housemate has lived here for over a year and has found it comfortable. The layout of the flat is such that both rooms have a lot of privacy. Happy for you to work from home if you need to ☺️
The flat is on a safe and peaceful road and neighbours are quiet. We’re about a 10 minute walk from Burton Road tram stop, ~5 mins from bars, cafés and shops on Burton Road and 2 mins from the closest bus stop - so transport links towards town and Oxford Road are excellent. Also about a 5 minute walk from the Mersey river with various other parks close by! 🌱
You’d be sharing with me - I’m Sarah, I’m 29 and work in animation! I normally work from the office so am out of the house most of the time. I’m friendly, tidy, and don’t make much noise! It would be nice to share with someone who’s up for a chat and hanging out while also respecting each other’s space. My hobbies are hiking, travelling, going to gigs (most recently jazz), climbing, art and food. Love trying new cafés and bars!
Please note that while I enjoy being social this is NOT a party flat - and want to share with someone who is similarly chilled and who will respect the space ☺️
