Description

Hello it’s Hazel, Will, and Conall. We’re looking for someone to join our houseshare from 20th Jan to 19th Feb!

We really love living here – Hazel’s been living here for four years – and we want to find someone to replace our friend in our house. We’re all good friends and love to hang out and do things as a house, but we’re also all independent and enjoy our own space. Hazel and Conall are a couple.

Hazel (27, she/her, musician, music education administrator)
Will (27, they/he, film programmer, freelance editor)
Conall (29, he/him, musician, SEN TA, bartender)

Some of the things we like to do together: games nights, film nights, going out for drinks on Burton Road. We also occasionally talk. It’d be great to have a housemate to join us : ) Must be LGBTQ+/queer friendly, and we'd prefer women/nb people.

In terms of the house, the living/dining room and the kitchen are spacious and well-equipped with loads of storage. The available bedroom is a double room, but is on the small side. It fits a double bed, wardrobe, desk, and shelves comfortably, with a lovely view out of the window over the communal garden. There is access to a bathroom (with a bath!) shared with one other.

We have our own private walled patio area, which is a lovely sun trap for chilling in. We also have access to a bigger communal garden out of our back gate, which is full of trees, birds, flowers, and occasionally dogs. There is also a basement utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, extra bathroom, and more storage.

We have a drive, but Conall and Will both regularly keep their cars there. However, there is plenty of parking available nearby – we’ve never had an issue when extra parking space has been needed.

We’re about a 7 minute walk to Burton Road tram stop and the 111 bus goes from right outside our front door. We have so many lovely independent bars and restaurants on our doorstep, and the nearest shop is a 1 minute walk away.

Bills are not included, and we try to keep these as low as we can (this includes council tax (Band D), Wi-Fi, energy, and water). According to our tenancy agreement, we can’t have pets or smoking in the house.

We will be resigning a 12-month lease as on 19th February; however, our current housemate is moving out earlier, so anyone wanting to move in from 20th Jan onwards is welcome : )
