Description
Hello it’s Alice. I’m looking for 3 people to join my houseshare from 19th Feb as my current housemates are moving on.
I really love living here – one of my housemates Hazel has been here for four years. As for me I am sociable and friendly, I enjoy doing things with my housemates but also appreciate my own company.
A bit about me I work for Oldham Council with SEND children, I’m in the office two days a week and then three days from home. I’m also a musician part time so I’m regularly out the house in the evenings playing gigs/open mics.
My current housemates and I are very good friends - some of the things we like to do together: games nights, film nights, going out for drinks on Burton Road. We also occasionally talk. It’d be great to have 3 other housemates to join me and do similar : ) Must be LGBTQ+/queer friendly.
In terms of the house, the living/dining room and the kitchen are spacious and well-equipped with loads of storage. Bedroom 1 and 2 are spacious, bedroom 1 having an en-suite and walk in wardrobe. The third available bedroom is a double room, but is on the small side. It fits a double bed, wardrobe, desk, and shelves comfortably, with a lovely view out of the window over the communal garden. There is access to a bathroom (with a bath!) shared with one other. This would be shared with one other housemate as the other two have en suites.
We have our own private walled patio area, which is a lovely sun trap for chilling in. We also have access to a bigger communal garden out of our back gate, which is full of trees, birds, flowers, and occasionally dogs. There is also a basement utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, extra bathroom, and more storage.
We have a drive, and there is plenty of parking available nearby – we’ve never had an issue when extra parking space has been needed.
We’re about a 7 minute walk to Burton Road tram stop and the 111 bus goes from right outside our front door. We have so many lovely independent bars and restaurants on our doorstep, and the nearest shop is a 1 minute walk away.
Bills are not included, and we try to keep these as low as we can (this includes council tax (Band D), Wi-Fi, energy, and water). They usually come to 115 (this might rise in April). According to our tenancy agreement, we can’t have pets or smoking in the house.
I’ll be resigning a 12-month lease as on 19th February; and my current housemates will be moving on this week : )
FYI with the contract renewal the prices of the rooms may go up, I will update once the landlords get in touch with me.
