Spacious Double Room in Sociable House Share

Hey!! We are looking for a new flatmate to come and join us in our West Didsbury house share. Rent is £750 in total, with bills included in the rental price. I will be moving out at the end of June and will be looking for someone to take over my furnished basement room.

The Home:

The house, in the heart of West Didsbury, is in a great location. Didsbury tram stop and Burton Road tram stop are both around a five minute walk. We live locally to Burton Road itself, which is beaming with bars, restaurants, pubs, cafes, and convenience stores. Equally, Didsbury Village is a 15 minute walk away filled with all the same plus a supermarket.

We have a large shared back garden which is perfect coming into the summer months. If you have a car, there is a shared drive way with our neighbours which can hold two cars. Aside from that, there is plenty of on street parking available for yourself and visitors. The street itself is really quiet, leafy, and most people who walk by are friendly and approachable.

Inside, there is a decently sized kitchen with appliances (including dishwasher, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer). There is a good amount of storage space within the living room and communal hallway. Downstairs, there is a utility room with more storage space, while there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are then two shower rooms/toilets, meaning that there is always one available for when you need it.

The room is large and furnished. It features a double bed, drawers, desk, chair, and wardrobe. There is plenty of space to make your own. While the room is underground, the neighbours in the flat above are respectful and noises is usually minimal, though there can be times where it is louder due to their living room being above the bedroom.

The Housemates:

We are Dillon (me, leaving), El, Erin and Dave. Each of us are respectful of one another’s space but sociable at the same time. If you want to do something together, there is usually someone who will do it with you. Equally, we all respect what one another get up to throughout the day. We integrate well with each other’s friendship groups outside of the house and stay in close contact with the previous flatmates who have lived here.

During the week we will usually watch something on the communal TV, go for drinks in Didsbury, take a trip to the cinema, go on a mooch, spend time in the garden when warm or just enjoy each other’s company. We usually have quite busy mid-weeks but we are never too busy to say hi or have a catch up around teatime.

As mentioned in the advert, the deposit will be £495 and the rent would be £750 per month bills included. I will be moving out in the last week in June, with the move in date being 01/07/26.
