Description
West Didsbury furnished double room in flat 2 mins' walk from Burton Road bars/restaurants and boutique shopping.
The flat is inside a large victorian house in a quiet, 'leafy' road in West Didsbury.
The room is furnished with a double bed, huge wardrobe (biggest one you've ever seen!) and shelving. Shared bathroom, living room and kitchen. The flat is modern with new fixtures and fittings throughout. Plenty of free tenant off-road parking available at rear of property.
Rent - £450 pcm + bills.
Bills come to roughly £150 per month - council tax (band B), broadband, gas, water, electric. I like to keep them as small as possible!
Timings - officially from 01.10.24. Possibly available slightly earlier.
Transport:
- Driving - M60 is just a 2 min drive away
- Trams - West Didsbury & Burton Road Metrolink stops are both 5 min walk.
- Buses - 3 min walk to Palatine Road with frequent buses to town via Oxford Road corridor / 7 min walk to Barlow Moor Road for buses for Stockport and Trafford Centre.
- Buses to town - depending on time of day can take 30-45mins; most go to Piccadilly.
- Buses to airport - about 40 mins: number 43 stops 3 minute walk from the house and is 24hours Piccadilly-Airport route.
Local amenities:
- Burton Road - bars/restaurants - on your doorstep
- Food - Tesco, Co-op - 3 min walk on Burton Road/Aldi in Didsbury village 15 min walk/large Tesco in East Didsbury
- Cash point/post office - 2 min walk
- Nearest gyms - The Northern - 2 min walk/Withington Baths - 10 min walk. Gym also tram ride away at Parrs Wood.
- Didsbury village: 15 min walk
About me:
I'm 34 and work M-F 9-5 so I'll be around in the evenings and weekends when I'm in. I enjoy travel, eating out, bars/drinking, climbing/bouldering/hiking, gym, reading and just seeing friends and family as often as possible.
About you:
I'm pretty flexible with who I live with, though professionals only please. I'd ideally like someone who is willing to share the flat and not just live in their room; we can chill with a bottle of wine/film on a Sunday night or check out the bars maybe a pub quiz on Burton Road.
I will assume that you are 'clean, tidy, respectful of other people's stuff; sociable but also understand when others need their own space' - so there's really no need to tell me this.
I had quite a lot of interest when I advertised last time, so please don't take it personally if you get an 'auto reject'!
Drop me a message if you're interested.
Jack
