Description

Hello there, I live in a rather lovely and spacious flat located in the heart of Whalley Range and the other room has become available. It comes with a double bed and a wardrobe, as well as bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers should you need them, and the family bathroom is directly opposite, which you will have 99% exclusive use of (I might want to take the odd bath but will provide baked goods in exchange for its usage!)

The flat is spacious with a big, modern kitchen-diner/living room with a breakfast bar and separate dining table, and a secure parking space available if you have a car.

The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the front door where the 85 runs frequently into the city centre and back towards Chorlton/ (and the 86/15 between town and Flixton about 15 minutes walk in the opposite direction). If you don’t want to get the bus, the walk into town takes about 40 to 50 minutes.
We are just around the corner from the Co-Op, with green grocers and a handful of newsagents/general stores and chemists close by. There's a doctor’s surgery just around the corner too.

The rent is £410 a month, excluding bills which come to about £200 a month for Council Tax, electricity, water, unlimited broadband and TV licence. (Our electricity bills are still adjusting due to the recent hikes so this is just an estimate based on current usage. It might be less than that, for a few months at least!). The incoming tenant will be taking on responsibility for the council tax and water bills.

I am looking for a flatmate who is reliable, sociable, and considerate, and doesn't mind pitching in with the housework. I'm fairly quiet myself but I love a youtube rabbit hole or watching something cheesy on TV with a takeaway. I love going to the theatre, watching live comedy and crafting to sublimate my rage. It would be great to have a flatmate who becomes a friend. I also love cooking and baking and will happily feed anyone who walks through my door. During the week I'm hybrid working so will largely be home but I have my own desk in my room so the kitchen space would be free for you if you needed it.

This is quite a quiet household, so if you like to host a lot of gatherings, it might not be for you! I do play the ukulele (badly) but never after 9pm on a weeknight and will try to use headphones if I want to listen to loud music as I know how annoying that can be!

If you're interested, please contact me with a bit of information about yourself, that'd be great!
