a bit about me:
-i work in media (mostly 9-5, hybrid)
-I am queer (bi/non binary)
-I am mostly vegan
-I have a small cat called pickle
- I am a leftist !
- I own this house and have been intentionally sharing it with kind folks since 2018.
My interests include : yoga, movement, pole dance, drag, collage, sewing, bikes, nice walks, jigsaws, diy, films. I am a social person and love people! I also am neurodivergent, am direct and prefer things to be explicitly communicated.
A bit about my housemate Zena:
- Goth queen of Manchester
- Tattoo artist
- Works out of the house 4 days a week
- Chatty, friendly, makes a banging brew
- Likes to draw, craft and make jewelry
We are 29 and 36, and looking for the right person to fit into our cosy house, for the medium-to-long term.
Before replying to the ad, and to not waste your time, please note that we would not live with you if:
-you are under 25 (this is non negotiable!)
-you regularly cook and eat meat and fish
-you WFH full time or need a desk in your bedroom (there isn't space!)
-you have a lot of furniture
-you have a cat yourself (pickle is a scaredy cat!)
-you want to smoke indoors
-you are a terf, a tory, or a homophobe 🏳️⚧️ 🏳️🌈
About you!:
- you want to make a home where you live and be a member of a shared household on a semi-long term basis
- You have your own friends but aspire to be friends with your housemates as well
-you enjoy the odd night out, late night or bit of bad behaviour but generally want a calm home space
- you like doing hobbies and relaxing at home, and spending time there, not just see it as a place to crash
-You like living somewhat communally (open to sharing meals sometimes, splitting the cost of groceries and basics)
-you like a relatively tidy space
-you aspire to live sustainably ♻️
-you like cats, would actively enjoy living with one, and wouldnt mind occasional cat care when i go away
-youd be up for mucking in on occasional house diy or interior design projects (thrifting, painting, hanging shelves)

-There is free parking on the street
-We are 7 mins walk from the 85, 10 mins from the 86 and 15 mins from Chorton/St Werbs road met stop
Some terms of the room:
-no deposit
-Its £375 pcm, payable on a day of your choosing
-includes all utilities, tv license, council tax, wifi, my dads netflix
- first floor, on the front of the house
-room contains: small double bed + mattress (protected and clean!) + wardrobe + bedside table + shelving
